This is a great idea. Having a warm supportive atmosphere where new dancers can perform thier first solo & where a professional can share her experience with other dancers. I know that is how I got my feet wet at the 5 Seasons in Baltimore, which is now transformed into the All Seasons Hafla in Townsend. I went to support my fellow dancers and did not get a chance to eat the food. Not because they were not serving, but because of Doctors orders. But it is a resturant with a wrap around bar. And each dancer took her turn performing to a receptive audience. And there was even tipping from the audience. A lady handed me a ten dollar bill to share with the ladies that were dancing that night. Then afterwards open middle eastren dancing till 10:00. And just when I thought the party was over, the resturant put on hip hop music. Where the ladies & patrons got togeather to dance. It was alot of fun, and I am looking forward to dancing there in four weeks. P.S. The dessert looked delightful If you are interested in performing you should contact Nefertiti. Next meetup might be already filled up, I would check with Nefertiti. But this will be a ongoing event, every other Saturday.
